This workshop is designed to help participants increase and enhance their skills as a coach so they may help individuals on their staff improve their performance. Participants will also learn how to increase and improve the overall performance of their team. In any work environment, there are a variety of individual and team personalities and it is important to be able to identify when and how coaching can be an effective, motivating management tool.
An effective coach knows how to relate to their people in meaningful and purposeful ways to influence and motivate, resulting in increased performance. Applying Human Performance Technology, each participant will learn a new level of understanding people both through verbal and nonverbal influence and communication.
Learning Outcomes
- Recognize and utilize the four most important mental motivation patterns and how to apply them as an effective coach.
- Learn the 3 traits effective coaches have in common.
- Learn the attitude and belief systems of an affective coach.
- Learn how to form meaning from nonverbal communication and the nonverbal communication techniques to affect change of behavior and motivation.
- Provide meaningful feedback utilizing the sandwich feedback model
- Implement proven methods for motivating employees through a proven model for understanding and speed reading people
- Help individuals effectively balance their independent and interdependent behaviors in order to maximize their personal effectiveness as a team member
- Learn the Logical Levels of coaching approaching each team member and coaching situation uniquely to impact them.
- How to develop sensory acuity and interrupt habitual ways of gathering information.
- How to recognize and avoid common coaching pitfalls.
